Fly the Farm was established in September 2017 by Meg Kummerow. Meg is passionate about Australian Agriculture and continues to work with several Grain Industry organisation alongside running Fly the Farm.
Meg grew up on a beef cattle property in the Central Burnett region of Queensland. She attended Dalby Agricultural College and has worked in the Feedloting, Pastoral, Cotton and Grains Industries. She is currently an Independent Director and Executive Officer of the Grains Research Foundation Limited, a committee member of the Australian Sunflower Association and one of the ASA's representatives on the joint venture committee of the Australian Summer Grains Conference to whom she also provides media services to.
Following a successful 18 months at the helm of Flying Ag Australia, Meg decided it was time to branch out on her own in order to provide drones & systems that focused on the needs of the Australian Agricultural industry.
Previously, Meg represented agricultural use of drones to the Senate Rural and Regional Affairs and Transport References Committee on the Current and future regulatory requirements that impact on the safe commercial and recreational use of Remote Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) in March 2017. Findings of this Senate Committee have been handed down and the report is available here.
She is dedicated to ensuring that Australian Farmers and Agribusiness professionals get the right drone solution for their needs.
